HTML Forms Data Loader

Load data from Excel, CSV, or a database into any HTML web form — no Alt keys or Hot Keys required.

Are you tired of entering data into web based forms (Oracle Self Service Forms) over and over again?

Then HTML Forms Data Loader is a tool for you! It can save you a lot of time and several man hours.

HTML Forms Data Loader (HDL) is a tool to load data from Excel / CSV / delimited / databases into an HTML form. It is a supplement to our other product Forms Data Loader, which uses macros to enter data in forms. Since HTML forms usually do not provide any Alt keys (hot keys), it is quite difficult to load data into HTML forms using Forms Data Loader through macros.

HTML Forms Data Loader provides a unique, first-of-its-kind, convenient, and cost effective solution for loading data in HTML forms. You can load thousands of rows in a very short time without getting any errors.

Prepare and Load Data in Just 3 Steps

  1. Record
  2. Populate the spreadsheet with your data
  3. Playback

As simple as this! No need for any setup procedure, that's why even a non-technical person can use this tool with ease. Try it yourself!

It's the essential tool for loading data into Oracle R12 release since most of the forms are now web based (Oracle Self Service Forms).

To develop a load, you just open the HTML form in a built-in browser and then click the Start Recording button, and HDL will automatically capture the items in which you enter data or click. After you finish entering data and complete the navigation, click the Stop Recording button.

Then HDL will show the items in a spreadsheet — just copy and paste the data from Excel or import the data from your CSV or delimited files in the HDL sheet and click Start Loading, and that's it! HTML Forms Data Loader will start playback and fill in forms automatically.

It provides a convenient spreadsheet interface to prepare the data load.

Features

  • Easy to use
  • You can control the loading speed, making loads more flexible
  • Robust error control — you can specify the action to retry or pause the load if HDL is not able to locate a field
  • Less error prone than macro loading since the fields are filled programmatically instead of copy-paste
  • You can use a combination of forms items as well as keystrokes to load data in any complex web based forms
  • Provides a solution similar to Forms Record and Playback without requiring any setup on the server
  • Can be used by clients to upload data to a company server without any security concerns
  • Future proof, since new releases of Oracle Applications are using more HTML forms than Oracle Developer Forms
  • Requires no special technical knowledge, can be used by non-technical end users as data is loaded in forms
  • Saves lots of time — prepare the load once and replicate it as many times as you want
  • Completely transparent to the application; the application behaves as if data is entered by a user
  • Accurate — all validations defined in the application forms are performed
  • Useful for developers who have to feed data into forms repeatedly while testing applications
  • Useful for loading legacy data into applications where data cannot be loaded directly into tables easily
